WHAT is it?
The Tixel device uses Thermo- Mechanical Action (TMA) which is a technology, developed by Novoxel®. It is an FDA approved device that uses heat delivered through a titanium hand piece whose surface made up of pyramids. The tip of each pyramid is tiny – 120 microns, thinner than a hair – and these microscopic points are what touch your skin and deliver very controlled heat, precisely and quickly (1/100th of a second). This triggers a wound-and-heal response, stimulating collagen and elastin, softening lines and restoring tightness. It creates channels in the skin that are open, like a sponge, and we are able to apply specialized proprietary serums to the skin for healing and regeneration. This whole process promotes skin tightening due to fibroblast stimulation which results in a more youthful, smoother, brighter and fresher look to the skin.
WHERE can it be used?
It can be used on the face, neck, decolletage, hand, body and around the eyes. Unlike other laser or needling treatments, it can be used on the eyelid and tear trough for a non-surgical eye lift.
WHO is this for?
This treatment is suitable for most people, all ages and all skin types. The Tixel is a skin resurfacing treatment used to improve the general tone and firmness of the skin as well as reduce pore size and fine lines.
Let us know if you have a history of cold sores in or near the treatment area. You should not have the Tixel treatment if you have active skin infections, are pregnant or lactating.

How many units do I need? The number of units required will vary from person to person and depends on the area being treated, your lifestyle, and daily habits.
When does it start to work and how long will it last? It typically starts to work within 2-4 days and will peak on day 14. Again, it depends on your lifestyle and daily habits, and typically lasts 3months.
Are there any restrictions after? For the next 24 hours….DO NOT lay flat on your stomach, have a massage, facials or apply pressure to the treatment area. DO NOT do any high intensity exercise, or use a sauna.

How long does it last? On average, fillers last 6 moths- 18 months and depends on the specific product used, the amount and the patient’s history and lifestyle. The biostimulators Radiesse and Sculptra can last up to 2 years.
How many treatments will I need? It all depends on your needs, your age, lifestyle, and more. During your consultation, we will develop a plan customized with you.
What are the side effects? Common side effects are bruising, swelling, redness, mild pain and tenderness. These usually subside within one week.

What is the exact process? First, we apply numbing cream to the area. We then use a small IV to draw your blood and place it in a centrifuge to separate the PRP and growth factors. This is what will be applied to your face. It is recommended to have a series of 3, spaced 30-45 days apart.
What are the benefits? The benefits include stimulating cell turnover, improving skin tone, reducing pore size, wrinkles, and fine lines. It can also be helpful to individuals with rosacea, visible acne scars and sun damage.
When do I see results? Results begin within the first week and will continue to improve up to 90 days after treatment. Patients can expect to see some redness, and skin tightness up to 24hrs after.

How many treatments will I need? We recommend 3 peels spaced 4-8 weeks for optimal results.
What is the downtime after the peel? There is no downtime after. The peel itself should be remain on for at least 4 hours.
How long before I see results? You can see results in as little as 7 days. It varies from patient to patient. Optimal results are seen with treatments.

How Often Should I Get a HydraFacial?
Consistency is best with all skin care treatments because we are continuing to age and be exposed daily to the enviromental effects. HydraFacial is best started in a series of 3, 4weeks apart for optimal health. Afterwards, it is recommended every 4-6 weeks.
Are There any Side Effects or Downtime After the Facial?
Nope! Unlike other treatments, there is no recovery or downtime after a HydraFacial. In contrast, you will have a natural glow immediately after the treatment.
Can I Receive a HydraFacial if I'm Pregnant?
Although Hydrafacial is generally safe for all to have, during pregnancy, many hormone changes can affect the sensitivity of the skin. It is best to avoid during pregnancy.
